Brief history
* In 1996 – within S.C. ARCADA COMPANY, the activity object „Corn and grain milling” is added within Sendreni mill from Galati county, the production capacity being 24to/24h;
* During 2006 - 2007 – the SAPARD project for wheat mill modernisation brought new Bühler equipments, having as components the followings:
Wheat bunker –with a capacity of 5000 to, provided with pre cleaning, airing and temperature monitoring devices;
Wheat mill – with a capacity of 80to/24h, endowed with Bühler last generation technology and equipment;
The lab physical-chemical and rheological lab, endowed with Perten and Chopin equipments;
Packing line of the finite and automatic products

Objectives
Our goal is to offer the best quality and safest products to our clients and consolidate the leader position within Galati and proxy counties. We can meet that expectation by:
- Continuous increase of ARCADA clients’ satisfaction level;
- Manufacturing high quality and safe food products;

Products
ARCADA farinas are qualitative standardized for clear usage destinations, obtained from wheat under strict hygiene and safe conditions. Among our main manufactured products we name: high qualitative wheat flour „480” – recommended for pastry, patisserie and confectionary; white wheat flour „650” – enigmatically equilibrated, recommended in bread and specialties production; black wheat flour – with an ash content between 0.91 – 1.40 %; diet flour – represented by Graham flour; wheat bran – product which can be used also as ingredient in obtaining pastry products rich in fibres.

Quality
During 2007 it was projected, implemented and certified the food safety management system as per Codex Alimentarius regulations as well as HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) concept requirements, having as referential SR EN ISO 22000:2005.
Quality and safety
ARCADA mill maintains the food safety management system certified by TÜV CERT of TÜV NORD certifying body. The specific activities from reception till delivery are supervised, controlled and thoroughly monitored. Potential risks and acceptable risk levels have been analysed, in connection with them being set preventive and control measures. The technologic process and finite products are continuously checked both by mill operators as well as lab personnel. These measures guarantee the consumers the high quality of the products and are secured to be consumed.
Within the physical-chemical and rheological lab, endowed with Perten and Chopin equipments, the specialized personnel performs tests as per the new standards in force. Their tenacity, ambition, dynamism and initiative are the traits characterizing the team orientated towards performance.
The results of the lab activity made in collaboration with Dunarea de Jos University of Galati – Faculty of Food Science and Engineering have been published in revues indexed within the international data basis.
The lab service offer covers and establishes the full profile of the flour in accordance with the usage, by the help of Mixolab – an ideal control tool. After establishing the target profile, solutions can also be offered for correcting the quality of the flour as per its destination.
Practical applications „Mixolab” obtained within Arcada lab, regarding the grain milling, have been presented within the international meeting Eurasia District of IAOM (International Association of Operative Millers), from October 2008.
As Mixolab user, we have the opportunity to beneficiate from the quality partnership BIPEA - founded in 1970 by Cereal Industry, with a number of 1050 labs within 57 countries. It can be evaluated at the international level the correct running of Mixolab equipment, as well as the technical ability of the execution personnel.
